We lost a trusted adviser recently. Kirk Kaalberg was a member of our Board of Directors. When I got control of the company, I reconstituted our Board. It is somewhat rare for private companies to have outside Board members. For our company, they represented the majority of votes on the board. As a matter of fact, I am the only inside member. I first met Kirk in 1987. We were both worked at a company called Teleconnect. For over a year, Teleconnect grew at 5% per week or greater. The intense work environment meant that team work was key to our success. We relied on each other. He was a counselor who could analyze situations, making complex problems seem simple. He helped make the world a better place.
